Beyond The Avatar

This September, ROAR transforms Second Life into an immersive journey of remembrance, connection, and possibility with Beyond the Avatar, a suicide prevention campaign exploring the person, pain, and stories that exist beyond what we see online. Visitors can experience a striking Beyond the Avatar portrait exhibition, discover messages of hope along the Lantern Walk, collect symbolic Hope Plushies, and walk beside a lake illuminated by floating lanterns carrying messages of remembrance and hope. Designed to be both visually powerful and emotionally meaningful, Beyond the Avatar invites the Second Life community to pause, connect, reflect, and remind one another that behind every avatar is a life that matters. This isn’t simply a destination to visit; it’s an experience designed to leave something with you when you leave.

“Spiralo” is a virtual cultural complex produced by the noise-classical music project 'Tia Rungray'. The space includes a sound installation hall, a gallery, a café, and a shopping floor.
