In this Carapace, dead cells come to life in the formation of structures resembling shells, nails, and hair. The surface reveals the presence of microorganisms, symbolizing the symbiotic relationship between the body and the microscopic beings that inhabit and constitute it. The work highlights the rigid conformation and elasticity of keratin as structures that protect, adorn and arm living beings.
Planet Tambalya is an art exhibit at SLEA by AmandaT Tamatzui. The theme is Sci-fi whimsical, so you are welcome to enjoy the colourful world, and get a Tambalyan passport which will make a good memento.
