Villa Carrera Resort
The Villa Carrera is a Mexican resort on the Isla Mujeres. The island features beaches, a Mayan ruin to the goddess Ixchel and a large villa. Built in the 1870s, the Carrera Villa stands in the middle of an old colonia much older colonial hacienda from the 17th century. The current owner of the villa is Rafael Carrera, a retired but internationally renowned architect. The year is 1940.
