Welcome to "Pororoca da Amazonia" an exhibit at SLEA2. It is a virtual twin of the Amazon River's tidal bore wave phenomena that occurs when the Sun, Earth, and Moon are aligned. The word Pororoca comes from the indigenous Tupi word "porórka," meaning "great roar. This celestial alignment causes a very powerful ocean tide that actually pushes the Amazon River flows back upriver. The region represents four main components of the Brazilian Amazon rainforest. This exhibit is open from January to June 2023.
Located on the northwest flanks of Mount Campion the highest mountain in SL, Roscommon Ridge is an annex of Mount Campion National Forest. Containing over 37,000 sq meters of gorgeous alpine garden of trails, canyons, forest, rivers, waterfalls and caves. Well suited for horseback riding and photography. Come and explore!
Mount Campion Caves National Forest is over 150,000 sq meters of beautiful parkland, landscaped to look like a natural mountain park. It has the largest natural caves and caverns. Above ground are miles of scenic trails through natural canyons and forests. There is hiking, horseback riding, camping, and photography. and cabin rentals. Located on the slopes of Mount Campion, the highest mountain in SL on the beautiful Heterocera mainland continent. You can roam for weeks!
Campwich Lodge is a public community center for the Camper Linden Homes regions. Located in a secluded rural area, this lodge has many places to hang out, relax and socialize with others. It is right across from Campwich Station, another public community area where you can rez your locomotives on the rails in designated rezz zones and drive them through the park. Sit back and enjoy the beautiful landscaping and the calming waterfalls.
