A former Roman settlement, Sant' Agapito, was extensively redeveloped in the Middle Ages. Separated from the later nineteenth-century "upper town," it now offers a refuge of boutique shops, cafes, and quiet corners. Below the town is a fragment of ancient woodland with a lakeside terrace overlooking more period ruins. Lots of photo opportunities.
