Gion Kobu Hamachi is a Japanese Edo period role play sim circa 1867. The sim is run by the geisha of Karyukai Okiya, Second Life's first geisha community. They provide live entertainment in the form of Japanese ozashiki or banquets, dance shows, and traditional seasonal festivals. The sim contains two tea houses, an indoor and outdoor theater, Shinto shrine, park lands, and an new art gallery.

A converted Palmerston Fort, Stack Rock is based on the real life counterpart in the UK's Solent estuary. A historical archive of the original forts can be found in the gallery at the back. The fort may be a residence, but visitors are more than welcome.
