Adventures in Creativity
Dear Editor,
With all the challenges and pit falls that can arise from such a unique environment I have to applaud everyone at Linden labs and your many helpful volunteers in SL that are always helpful and courteous. I have been jumping from Virtual Realities online for many years now and when I did another search for something new...landing in SL was the best thing I have ever experienced.
Being an Entrepreneur in RL comes with a massive drive that needs to be escaped from and SL is that escape. OK I admit it, I'm always doing some project in SL too however SL gives me an escape from RL and has drastically improved my creativity as in the past I was inclined to be shy about trying new things in world such as creating, building, or socializing. Those same concepts are now helping me in RL as SL has given me a new spark and out look on what I do in RL.... New adventures in or out of World are exciting again so Thank You!
I especially like the growing global influences that are coming in as I personally expect to see many different styles and designs to start making way through SL and look forward to the creativity that a diverse World has to offer.

Group Orientation
I have a suggestion regarding the growing pains on the Orientation Islands - I would offer a guided tour, or group-guided tour, and have the group travel as one, so that you can streamline the amount of content, and stream it out to multiple clients at once. Kind of like a 'boot camp' experience for the new user(s) who can then choose to enter the main grid, or explore on their own, for a while, before moving on to the main grid.
I think that streamlining, or grouping people together for this kind of "orientation" would greatly increase the users' enjoyment, and speed up the learning curve for those who will be using the system on an ongoing basis. Plus, having a list of 'graduates' from the same 'class' would allow people to network with people who have been around just as long as they have, and might be able to elicit some questions or concerns that they might not ask of a guide. These in turn, if they are still in a classroom or orientation style environment, could be easily monitored, and added to the curriculum, or made available on FAQ's etc.
