If you're talking verbal expression, Second Life has you covered. You can talk to any nearby avatars by typing messages in the Local Chat box. Talk to any friends in SL no matter where they are, using the IM option. You can also activate Voice Chat with the click of a button. What are Groups?
Second Life Groups are communities of Residents who share an interest. There are hundreds of groups in Second Life- from fashionistas to roleplayers to book clubs. Group members can communicate easily with each other, have virtual land together, and set dates to meet up. Other Residents can see what groups you're in by checking out your profile.

How do I use the forums?
You can find the Second Life forums here, but you'll need to create a Second Life account before you can access them. Once on the forums, use them as you would any online forums. Feel free to post a new topic, browse posts in any topic, or reply to a post. The forums are a great way to check out what has Residents buzzing.

How do I find out more about other users?
You can find out more about any Second Life Resident by checking out their profile. A profile will always show the resident's name, their Second Life "age" and account type. Usually they'll have also filled out their bio, an avatar photo, a link to their website, and sometimes their real world photo and interests. Fill yours out and let others know who is behind the avatar!
