DESCRIPTION |
| Upload Image (L$10)... |
Allows you to bring textures into Second Life, from your hard drive. You can upload bitmaps (.bmp), jpegs (.jpg) or targa (.tga) format files. It costs L$10 per upload. Only 32bit .tga files support transparency. You will be given a chance to review the uploaded file before committing to uploading it (and paying the fee). Any textures uploaded will be in your Textures folder within your Inventory. |
| Upload Sound (L$10)... |
Allows you to bring small audio clips into Second Life, for a charge of L$10 per file. Clips must be 44.1Hz Wave format (.wav) files, and must be 10 seconds or less in length. |
| Upload Animation (L$10)... |
Allows animations and poses made in tools such as Poser, to be imported into Second Life. Each upload will cost L$10. Animations must be in simple .bvh format (the simple model in Poser). |
| Bulk Upload (L$10)... |
Provides an easy way to bulk upload images, in one go. You will still be charged L$10 per file, and you will not get the chance to preview them if you choose this option. Useful when you have many files that you want to bring in as one action. |
|
| Close Window |
Will close whichever window is currently being used / has focus. So if you have been answering IMs and have that window open - this command will close it for you. |
|
| Save Texture As... |
Allows you to save textures and snapshots from your inventory back to your hard drive. You can only do this if you have permissions on the texture. By default the option will be grayed out. To use it you have to open (view) the texture by opening or double-clicking it in your inventory. A window will open showing you the texture - you can then use Save Texture As.. to pop a copy onto your hard drive. Textures saved in this way will be .jpg format.
|
|
| Take Snapshot |
Allows you to take a snapshot of what you are currently looking at. You will get a preview window that will give you several options - to save it to the Photo Album folder in your Inventory (costs L$10), save it to your hard drive, email it to someone, or discard it. |
| Snapshot to Disk |
Saves a snapshot straight to your hard drive rather than to your inventory. |
|
| Start/Stop Movie to Disk |
Begins to record what you are seeing to a video file on your hard drive, in .avi format using your choice of compression methods. Great for creating machinima. The compression options available to you will depend which encoders you have installed on your machine. Choosing the command a second time will stop the recording. |
| Set Window Size |
Intended mainly to support the creation of movies/machinima, the sub menu allows you to fix the SL window to a specific size so that different scenes in your movie will all be at the same size.

| Quit |
Logs you out of Second Life and closes the window |
