HOME / LAND / MORE LAND = MORE PRIMS

In order that resources within each region are shared fairly amongst the landowners - the number of prims available is proportional to the amount of land owned in the region. This means that the only way to increase the number of prims you have available, is to purchase more land in the same region.

Lets do some simple maths. Each region provides more or less 65500m of land and exactly 15000 prims. So to work out the number of prims a plot supports, the calculation is:

(15000 / 65500) x <plot size in meters>

A 512m plot will give 117 prims, whereas a 3000m plot supports around 687 prims.

The prims supported by your land can be used in any land you own in that region. If you own two parcels on opposite sides of the region, you can use the entire prim count for both parcels added together, in a build that sits on just one of them. For this reason you will often see small parks, or underwater land being purchased by local Residents to bump up the number of prims they can use in their homes.
